PRSA believes in the privacy of member and nonmember users of its websites and is committed to the responsible use of any information provided online. At the same time, however, your expectations of privacy regarding use of the sites should vary according to the portion of the sites you are using. As a result, you have no proprietary interest and no reasonable expectation of privacy while using PRSA Blogs and MyPRSA Discussion Forums, or while posting comments to PRSA articles.
In order to use some parts of our websites, a user must first complete a registration form. During registration, a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our sites in which you have expressed interest. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender or age) about yourself, but it is not required. We also use the information we gather to improve the Society and the websites by adding new products and services.
We use "cookies" on our sites. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help us improve your access to our sites and identify repeat visitors to our sites. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our sites. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our sites. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our sites.
From time to time our sites request information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary, and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information.
