SUMMARY :

Under limited direction, the Communications Manager organizes and manages the execution of the firm's comprehensive communications programs including public relations, media relations, copywriting, collateral materials, direct mail, web site content, firm identity and practice area initiatives and special events. He/she strives to ensure quality brand standards and industry position with an eye for creativity, innovation and professionalism.

 

The Manager collaborates with the practice group leaders, individual attorneys, General Counsel’s office, the firm management team, staff, vendors, co-counsel and clients as needed, to achieve goals and thus contribute to the sustained success of the organization. He/she supports the Director and other business development teams in strategic planning. The Manager evaluates the success of various strategies and provides and implements recommendations for improvement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, mass communications, journalism, advertising or closely related field

• At least five (5) years of communications, media/public relations experience with demonstrated track record of success

• Experience with Cision or Vocus required

WORKING HOURS:

Work may require more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the duties of the position. Work may require travel. May require 24/7 access to media during special projects.
