Fees
There
are two separate fees: one for the Readiness Review and another
for the Written Exam.
The
Readiness Review fee is $25 and is a one-time fee, similar to
the "application fee" of the old exam. This fee is paid to SCPRSA
when a candidate applies for the Readiness Review. If a candidate
does not pass the Review and wants to take it again, the fee does
not need to be paid twice. After passing the Readiness Review,
candidates have up to one year to take the Written Exam.
The
fee for the written exam is $275 for PRSA members and $385 for
members of other Partner Organizations. The fee is paid to the
Prometric Testing
Center when a testing appointment is scheduled. This fee
must be paid each time the written exam is taken.
Appointments
for the Written Exam must be scheduled 30 days ahead of time during
peak testing months (October - December). If a candidate needs
to reschedule a test date for any reason, he or she MUST notify
the center two business days before the test date or the payment
will be lost. A small reschedule fee may also apply.
Applications
Candidates
can obtain applications from the PRSA national website or by contacting one of the SCPRSA
Accreditation Committee Members.
Also,
candidates must submit a Readiness Review Candidate's Written
Submission Form. Four printed copies of typewritten responses
to the questions on this form must be submitted to a candidate's
committee representative no fewer than 15 business days prior
to the scheduled Readiness Review.
Maintenance
Application
Professionals
who are currently accredited can obtain a copy of the Maintenance
of Accreditation Application from the PRSA
